So how do you know how to choose the right trainer?
First off, your best bet is to find a trainer with a 4 yr degree in a fitness related field - Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiolgy . You wouldn't go to a doctor or physical therapist who didn't have a degree in medicine or physical therapy would you?
Second, look for one with a good certification from a Nationally Accredited Certifying Organization. The best 3 are the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), or American Council on Exercise (ACE).
Third, look for one with experience training clients, ask for references, and look for testimonials.
