It's hard to find good, affordable art classes these days. Schools are cutting art budgets. Outside art classes can be expensive. The Parma Area Fine Arts Council recognizes this problem and offers a solution.
The Parma Area Fine Arts Council (PAFAC) offers children's art courses twice a week. Students can go to one or both classes. Classes are only $8 a class! Creative materials are all provided. A discount is offered to PAFAC members as well. You can pay for a group of classes or just one at a time. Classes are for children ages 7-17.
The Children's Art Exploration class is a drawing based class that covers a wide range of art disciplines, art history, and materials. Projects are tied into art history or real life applications, ranging from cave drawings to modern anime', from Egyption art to product and fashion design. This class is currently offered Saturdays from 10 AM to 12.
Classes are offered through PAFAC at the Donna Smallwood Activity Center (formerly the Senior Center), located behind Parma City Hall, 7001 West Ridgewood Drive. Parma, Ohio 44129.
