Strong background in Human Resources/Labor Relations/Recruiting



Description :



Summary Collaborate with business partners to drive business and HR results in their assigned area. Advise and counsel business partners on all aspects of performance management including coaching, delivery of feedback, and performance appraisals. Provide support to business partners on progressive corrective action techniques and appropriate utilization of other support services that enhance performance productivity. Plans, directs, implements, and oversees human resources policies and activities such as employment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and communications for the facility by performing the following duties.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



Visit client areas to better understand their business and HR needs.



Accountable for recruitment and selection of leadership candidates.

Direct recruiting, interviewing and selection efforts for both exempt and non-exempt positions.



Implement human resource policies to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal laws.



Develops site human resources budget and reviews status on a regular basis.



Oversees research of local market rates for positions to assess relationship to organization compensation plan, determining if and where pay adjustments should be made within the bargaining units and hourly work-force. Makes recommendations to HR Leadership regarding salaried positions.



Implements communications systems to ensure all locations have access to information in a timely manner.



Provides guidelines and oversee management of human resources activities such as recruitment, performance review, benefits, training, and employee relations, and resolves problems requiring senior management intervention.



Manage local labor relations and represents management in negotiating collective bargaining agreements.



Analyzes trends at each location in turnover, hiring, promotions, separations, and grievances to determine support or action needed to adjust unfavorable trends.



Oversee training at each location in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, sexual harassment, and diversity awareness.



Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.



Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.



Conducts Frontline Leader training for the division as required.

Education and/or Experience



Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Seven to ten years experience in a unionized environment.



Computer Skills



Must have knowledge of AS 400 Accounting software; Access Database software; Infinium Human Resource systems; Ariba Order processing systems; Visio Project Management software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.



Other Skills and Abilities



Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally on all levels.

Ability to interpret state and local regulations in areas of responsibility.

Ability to objectively review applicants for positions.



Other Qualifications



Must be able to travel 30% of the time.
