For this particular title, artists should have a realistic
illustration style (e.g. - similar to Jae Lee's work in Stephen King's
The Dark Tower series), and the rendering style should be black &
white ink and hand-drawn (clean pencil drawings ready to be inked will
also be considered). Use reference photographs as much as possible.
Do not draw from your head.

PANEL ONE: A pirate ship on calm water. The horizon and the full moon
are in the distance. The ship's flag is wafting limply in the scarce
breeze and the ship's sails are up and bundled.
PANEL TWO: On deck, a woman (long hair, pleasant features) attacks a
thug (pudgy nose and nearly bald, this man has seen abuse). She holds
a primitive knife (the handle wrapped in cloth) to the villain's neck,
though the man doesn't seem to notice. A small trail of blood leaks
from the blade. Both of these people dress in a clothing style that
reaches back to the 15th century, with the woman in a ratty sleeping
dress and the man in a ragged shirt and stained pants. No shoes on
either. Both facial features are angered, since neither are having a
very good day on the open ocean.
Specifically you must be able to;
Work with production manager, printers, and service bureaus to ensure that final products are of a high quality and delivered in a timely fashion.
Create page layouts according to existing specs
Design and layout house ads as needed to marketing specifications
See projects through from concept to completion, while maintaining a high level of accuracy, consistency and efficiency.
Collaborate with editors, marketers and sales staffs as needed
Qualified applicants will possess a bachelors degree in design/visual communications, or a certificate from an accredited art school or equivalent experience in addition to 3-4 years experience in a publishing environment, and expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite as well as Flash. I'm rolling around the idea of going into business. I've always done photography for more of a hobby, but I've decided that it's time to try to so something more with it. I'm looking for someone who's familiar with how to start a business. This wouldn't be an under the table kind of thing. I'm a devout Christian, and I'm looking for a hard working business partner that will help me get my business off the ground. I intend to do everything by the book. The person that I'm hoping to team up with must possess strong small business management skills. The ideal candidate would also be a photographer with an already established and impressive portfolio, but my main objective is to work with someone who knows the business end of things. If you know the business end, but not the photography end we may still be able to work something out for the short term.
