My goal is to educate students how to perform artistically with a musical instrument by reading and understanding notation. In my teaching, I strive to have my students learn to express themselves creatively while developing graceful movement and facility.

In other words, No hard rock or "screamo" noise stuff at all. Just the lighter and more melodic music and a versital drummer is required. .

Existing members are classically trained and while not a necessity, we do prefer the same in the new drummer.

We are target the upscale type jobs and prefer a '"Mature" type who was playing back in the 60s, although we do not limit the set list strictly to oldies and classic rock. and will consider younger qualified musicians.

The band is an ensamble and we all sing leads and back-up so singing ability is also prefered.

Also this is a 100% for money band and is not just a hobby, but we do only practice 2 or 3 hours a week if we are not playing out so it is also not a part time job.

It needs a couple of pads,and some minor bending to realign two of the keys that were bent while it was being buffed out.

Both of the repairs are minor,it should take less than an hour for somebody who knows what they're doing.

The sax is old and made out of brass,so bending the keys back should go smooth.

I have played for over 30 years,and the guy who used to do my repair work has passed away.I have an audition for a band next week,and need this done ASAP.

I would perfer if someone came to my house to do it,but I will come to you if nessecary.Either way,I will not let the horn out of my sight.

Anyways, I have this dream of bringing back Byrds/Beatles type bands back into the music scene, I'm observing lots of kids walking around with Beatles, Dylan, and many other related bands' t-shirts' on, so it makes me think that if I could get a good group of dedicated musicians to bring back the 60s scene, we could be real succesful. I'm not talking Beatle-mania succesful (who knows though), but I think it would really work out. I'll never know until I try.

In my teaching, I strive to have my students learn to express themselves creatively while developing graceful movement and facility.

Our points of reference at practice are mostly 90's Metal, Hardcore, Death, and Alternative, just check the music out and see if your on the wavelength. Ideally I would like someone who is comfortable screaming, and singing (listen to "side one" on the page) Singers we love are from bands like dillenger escape plan, deftones, early tool, clutch, vulger era pantera, alice in chains, faith no more, and acid bath.....Also being able to write something interesting is important, and often overlooked within the genre we play, if your not a great writer thats ok but you must be willing to work on lyrics openly. We have a PA, and enough patience to walk you through some of the complexities of the tunes, but you have to obtain the raw talent and a desire to practice and take this seriously. We practice on the weekends, all live on the west side, and are all in our mid to late 20's.
