In 2008, The PC Scholars Program started, which focuses on improving the lives of select Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) students through Leadership, Academic Preparedness and Career Preparedness.<br>

We are currently looking for a part-time Assistant Program Coordinator for our PC Scholars Program.  Under the direction of the Manager of Programs, the Assistant Program Coordinator provides administrative support and project management to the PC Scholars Program.  This person will be the main liaison between organization and the students involved in the program.  This position is part-time and will require up to 12 hours of work per week.  <br>
<br>
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include:<br>
- Assist the Manager of Programs with all PC Scholars related activities to ensure effective and efficient coordination<br>
- Primary point of contact for students and parents of students involved in the Program<br>
- Involvement in all PC Scholars meetings and conference calls<br>
- Attend all Saturday morning sessions<br>
- Oversee the needs of students involved in the Program: i.e.; reminder phone calls, emails, one-on-one time with students, confirmation of attendance for classes, etc.<br>
- Management and organization of session materials<br>
- Overall management and coordination of Saturday sessions<br>
- Coordination of presenters for class sessions<br>

Qualifications<br>
- Must be available Saturdays from 8:00am - 1:00pm<br>
- Must be able to work up to 10 hours Monday-Friday, during afternoon business hours<br>
- Must have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)<br>
- High attention to detail<br>
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work collaboratively with diverse groups<br>
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Publisher)<br>
- Ability to provide excellent customer service<br>
- The Ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years work experience<br>

Masters degree in social work or counseling, with independent licensure in the State of Ohio required. Must have a minimum of five years of related professional experience and at least two years of supervisory experience.  A minimum of five years direct service experience, including a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and lead in both positive and negative situations may be considered and substituted for external supervisory experience.

Must be self-directed, self-disciplined, and skilled and knowledgeable in direct service work with adults, children and/or families.

Must be knowledgeable of program alternatives and managed care.   Must be resourceful in the development and leadership of both program and staff.

Must have strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Must have an awareness of and sensitivity to the cultural diversity of the population served.
<br>

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to make sound decisions under stressful conditions, demonstrated clinical skills, and an ability to organize and prioritize tasks.  Must be able to work cooperatively with persons across disciplines, both within and outside the agency.

The Grants Administrator will be responsible for developing and implementing an overall grants management and reporting system including producing reports for funders and external partners as well as internal reports to help with organizational management and resource allocation.  This is not a development position.  This position will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the entire Executive Committee.  Other principal working relationships include the administration staff, managing attorneys, project leaders, funders and partners. <br>

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES<br>

External Reporting:<br>
•Oversee the timely submission of grant reports.<br>
•Track status of grant-related spending, program goals/objectives by developing and conducting periodic internal audits of Legal Aid’s work. <br>
•Prepare and provide to managers and project leaders periodic reports on grant activities and expenditures to ensure achievement of all goals and objectives.<br>
•Ensure compliance with all grant and contract requirements as it relates to applicable laws, regulations and program requirements.<br>
•Coordinate responses to audits of Legal Aid’s work by funding sources.<br>
•Assist with grant renewal applications and new grant proposals.<br>

Internal Reporting:<br>
•Manage and assess program data, including services provided, unmet need and outcomes, for use in planning, program development, resource development and other activities.<br>

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS<br>
•BA or BS degree plus 2-5 years of related experience or MPA or similar degree required.  <br>
•Strong skills and experience using and analyzing financial and program data required, accounting and/or statistics experience preferred.  <br>
•Excellent analytical and evaluative skills with attention to detail and presentation.<br>
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational and time management skills and the ability to take initiative and be a leader.  <br>
•Proficiency with MS Word and Excel, experience using accounting, reporting and contact management software preferred (i.e. MIP, Crystal Reports, Raiser’s Edge).<br>

1.	Work Objectives<br>
The Lorain-Variety Project Director coordinates activity within the neighborhood’s commercial district by building a comprehensive program for implementation of the Loran Avenue Master Plan (adopted by the City of Cleveland in 2008).  The Master Plan identifies the $8 million restoration of the Variety Theatre as the centerpiece of the redevelopment of the commercial corridor; the Project Director will play a significant role in coordinating implementation strategies and development activities around the Variety Theatre.<br>

2.	Areas of Responsibility<br>
a.	Work in partnership with Westown CDC Commercial Director for the successful implementation of the Master Plan objectives, with a specific focus on the Variety Theatre.<br>
b.	Manage various aspects of the implementation strategy including fundraising, grantwriting and event planning.<br>
c.	Coordinate activity of stakeholders, ensuring that communication between stakeholders is well established.<br>
d.	Develop and maintain data systems relating to implementation activities.  Contribute to existing monitoring, tracking and reporting systems.<br>

Encourage a cooperative climate between neighborhood interests and local public officials.<br>
h.	Serve as the primary liaison to the Friends of the Historic Variety Theatre. Advise and assist this group on implementing the activities laid out in the Variety Theatre Feasibility Study.<br>
i.	Assist in the coordination of joint promotional events designed to attract people to the service area and promote activities related to the Master Plan. Work closely with local media to ensure maximum event coverage.<br>
j.	Help build strong and productive working relationships with appropriate public agencies at the local and state level.<br>

3.	Job Knowledge and Skills Required<br>
The Project Director should have a proven record in development/fundraising as well as education and experience in one or more of the following areas: non-profit administration, project management, finance, grantwriting, public relations, planning, business administration, historic preservation and property management.<br>

•	Complete resident intake procedure, providing bed linen and personal care items and giving new residents a tour of the shelter facility.<br>

Today the 550-member staff serves more than 21,000 children each year through a wide range of mental health services including Residential and Day Treatment; an Intensive Treatment Unit; School- and Community-Based Mental Health Services, Foster Care and Adoption; Family Preservation; Early Childhood Services; Early Intervention and Parenting, Mentoring; and other services to youth and their families.<br>

We currently have openings for YOUTH MENTORS.  Responsibilities are to increase youth placement stability through one on one mentoring.  Mentors will provide out of home activities over an 8-12 month period with youth.  Activities are to encourage improvement in the youth skills and coping abilities.  <br>

Analyze administrative problems and make appropriate recommendations; prepare clear and concise technical reports and recommendations, both oral and written; analyze methods and procedures adequately and logically; interpret laws, rules, and regulations affecting programs related to minority business operations; understand and counsel in both English and Spanish on issues related to small business, with a specific emphasis on financial management, commercial lending, risk management issues, marketing; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers, outside agencies, and Hispanic businesses and other functions as may be outlined in programming proposals. <br>

<description><![CDATA[The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland seeks a Pro Bono Referral Coordinator in its Volunteer Lawyers Program who will play an important role in ensuring that low income individuals have access to high quality legal assistance through the programs and projects of the Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP).  This is a non-attorney position; however, the Pro Bono Coordinator will be an active member of the VLP team, involved in planning and implementing provision of services throughout the five county service areas. The Pro Bono Coordinator will report to the Managing Attorney of the VLP Unit and will work closely with and under the direction of VLP Staff Attorneys.  Additionally, the Pro Bono Coordinator will interact with the Intake Unit attorneys and staff to ensure integration of services between Intake and VLP.<br>
<br>
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES<br>
<br>
VLP Support:<br>
•Support VLP team members in day to day activities including routine and specialized tasks <br>
•Manage and update data base of volunteer attorneys and clients<br>
•Assist with preparation of reports about VLP cases and events<br>
<br>
Client and Case Management Support:<br>
•Refer cases to volunteer (pro bono) lawyers and monitor and record status<br>
•Assist with development, scheduling and implementation of VLP clinics and projects for both clients and attorneys<br>
•Maintain strict client confidentiality that supports the attorney-client relationship<br>
•Create and maintain data using a variety of tools, including database management systems<br>
<br>
Additional Relationship Support: <br>
•Work with Public Relations and Development teams<br>
•Interact with firms, individual attorneys, community partners and others to support the work of the VLP<br>
•Interact with Legal Aid staff in all offices serving the five county area to maintain and increase VLP services and presence<br>
<br>
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS<br>
•Experience in a comparable setting and bachelors degree preferred.  <br>
•Effective oral and written communication skills.  <br>
•Effective organization, planning, follow-up and problem solving skills.  <br>
•High level of professionalism, diplomacy, and sound judgment.  <br>
•Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, contact management software, and other databases.  <br>
•Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.   <br>
•Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.  <br>
•Experience in working with non-profits and with attorneys preferred.<br>
•Commitment to Legal Aid’s mission is required.<br>

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS<br>
The salary for this position is $32,800+ annually based on experience.
