last I remember, it was Congress that authorized the invasions, a Democratic congress.

In fact, Republicans voted almost unanimously for the Iraq war. Democrats, on the other hand, were deeply divided. 61% of the Dems in the House voted AGAINST it. 42% of Dem Senators did. As opposed to the 98% of Reb congressmen and 97% of Reb senators who blindly followed their party leader’s lies about Iraq’s involvement in 9/11 and threat to the US.

As for Afghanistan, Obama has ALREADY sent more troops. There is now another question as to whether more troops are necessary, but he has already demonstrated a committed to the conflict and followed through on campaign promises.
