$300 / 2br - 2 Bdr. 2,000 sq. ft. artist Loft summer sublet, Downtown Cleveland (E. 30th & Superior) (map)
perfect for CSU students, interns working downtown or artists of any kind!
I will be visiting my family from the beginning of July to the end of September in Texas and need to find a subletter for some if not the entire time that i am gone. My roommate will still be living there, so you would be sharing the space with him.
You would have your own room though (my room) which is the larger room. I will, however, be leaving some things behind, as i will only be gone for 3 mths. the room is fully furnished with a full sized bed complete with bookcase headboard, 2 L-shaped desks, closet space and a place to do ironing as well. I am a spunky, fast talking artist/fashion design hopeful and my roommate is a cool & tall style genius with a penchant for tattoos and piercings. Tom, (my roomie) is very easy to live with. He works long hours and likes to watch good films when he's not out and about. You would be sharing the bathroom, kitchen and main space with him. It is a loft, 2,000 sq. ft. actually, on the 3rd floor, so there is a lot of open space-we have the BEST view of downtown too. Your room and Toms room are closed off though, so you will have privacy.
There is also a washer and dryer down the hall from our door and a cafe on the first floor owned by some of the tenants in the building. There is free street parking and a free lot across the street for building tenants. There is also a freight elevator if needed for move in.
location is right on E.30th and Superior, it's considered midtown but it's literally a 3 minute drive to w. 9th and the warehouse district. plus, if you turn the corner on superior, the entrance to the 90 and to 77 as well as to the 2 shoreway are right there! also, you can see dead mans curve on the 90 right out our main window -the wall facing the west is entirely windows, two gigantic wall sized panoramic windows-it's my favorite in the summer, you can tan right inside! we're 3 minutes from downtown, 5 from tremont, 12 from lakewood and 15 or so from cleveland heights. CSU is also down the street and up a jog on 21st. so we're close to almost everything, it's pretty darn fantastic.
now for the rent...
your share of the rent is $300 plus shared utilities. the utilities can be as high or low as you want it, depending on your usage. normally in the summer, the gas bill is incredibly low, like 8 or 15 a month. the electric is up to you. We are the only unit in the building with central air, which is great for really hot days, but it does up the electric bill, so as long as you are aware of your usage, you should be fine. There is a fan in my room, which is a plus, and that helps on the warmer days. We also just got internet and though we have yet to get our first bill, i'm pretty sure it's around 35 a month, but we share it with the ceramic studio upstairs so it would be split 3 ways. your share would be around $11 or so if you wanted to use the internet. Oh, and my room does not have cable, but Tom's room does. if you wanted to use it, you might need to arrange that with Tom, as he pays for that separately on his own, but i'm sure it could be worked out if you really wanted it. i would watch TV all day if i had cable, so i just don't.
so that's the general breakdown. if you're interested, please respond with photos, background info, references, whatever you think would be helpful. i am hoping to find a subletter before June, as i am leaving the first of july or sooner. if you cannot rent for the entire time i am gone or wanted to rent sooner than july, let me know and we'll try to work something out. i've attached links to my personal portfolio (it takes a sec to load-but it's worth the wait), my myspace and a few other portfolios of mine, just to give you an insight to who i am. my roomate is under my friends on myspace as Tomass, so you can get an idea who you'll be living with. I've also attached photos of the place, they are a bit fuzzy and the place was kind of a mess when i took them, that won't all be there when you move in, i promise.
thanks for looking, tom and i hope to meet you soon!
(i have plenty more pics if you want to see, craigs only allows so many-so i couldn't give you the full scope of the place-cause it's huge!)
