I have a new job out of state and I need to sublease my apartment in Cleveland. My lease continues until the end of June 2010. As an incentive for taking over the apartment for the remainder of the lease, I am willing to offer the apartment for $550 per month. If you can't or don't want to stay that long, then the apartment is $600 per month. Even at $600 per month, the apartment is about $130 below the average price for similiar apartments in the area. The rent includes heat, water, and a parking space. Electric, cooking gas, cable, and internet cost extra.

Before I go on, I need to make something clear. A sublease DOES NOT MEAN that you do not need to sign an agreement. The only difference between a sublease and a lease is that the deal is made between me and you with no involvement from the landlord. If you like the place, I will write up a sublease agreement and you will have the opportunity to read it, ask questions, etc. before you sign. If you can't handle that don't bother. Also, if you think that you won't be responsible for DAMAGE YOU OR YOUR GUESTS CAUSE to the place (e.g. kitchen fire), then don't bother.

Now, about the place. There is a spacious living room with a mantle and a large closet/storage space, a large dining room, a kitchen with appliances in great condition, a nice bathroom and a bedroom w/ a spacious closet. There is a coin-op washer and dryer unit in the basement. The apartment is on the first floor so you don't need to worry about carrying any large furniture up flights of stairs. While I stayed there (almost 1.5 years), I never needed to call the landlords for any maintenance issues. Small pets are OK as long as they are cleared by the landlords first. I know of some neighbors who have small cats or dogs.

About the landlords... The landlords are very nice, respond quickly to calls regarding maintenance, locking yourself out of the apartment, etc., and are on site frequently to take care of landscaping.

About the area... The apartment is located a 5-minute walk away from the shops, restaurants, and bars on Coventry including Marc's Grocery Store. There is also a Dave's supermarket about a 5-minute drive away. The apartment is also located directly on the bus line to Case Western Reserve University and downtown. The shops and world class restaurants of Little Italy are about a 10-min walk away. Case Western Reserve University is about a 20-min walk away and is in ideal biking distance for students. I always was able to go out in the evening without any problems. The area is very safe. Ideal for college students and young professionals.
