This 1926 original watercolor painting, by Marcus Elliott, is of 2 lovers, one woman in 1920s flapper attire and the other woman sporting men’s attire which was avant garde during the 1920s. It measures 15.5 inches tall by 10 inches wide.

Years ago, the painting was removed from its frame for the first time to clean the glass. On the back of the watercolor, was found the 1926 dedication from the artist to Gladys, the young blond flapper. Also, the art frame shop found carboard behind the artwork from a 1920s store advertisement, declared it to be low-acid cardboard and chose to keep everything original. She said the young lady in men's clothing looked exactly like a young Louisa d'Andelot Carpenter, the du Pont heiress who regularly dressed in men's suits.
