Common Maintenance & Quirks
Capstan Belt: The drive belt often degrades with age and requires replacement.
Pinch Roller: Old, congealed grease can prevent the pinch roller from engaging with the capstan, needing a clean and re-lube.
Tape Heads: Check for wear (this set is pretty good!) as heavily used heads can degrade sound quality.
Reel Locks: Unlike some larger decks, it lacks a cine-style trident lock, so spindle caps are needed for secure reel placement. We are including these with the sale.
