The Technics SB-5000A is a sought-after vintage 2-way, bass-reflex bookshelf/floorstanding speaker from the late 1970s. The SB-5000A Linear Phase technology is praised for delivering accurate, realistic, and punchy sound with a moderate size 10-inch woofer and 2.5-inch tweeter. The unit offers excellent overall performance in a smaller floor standing enclosure that measures 28.25" H x 13.75" W x 12.75" D. Recently these speakers were serviced by DALAUDIO and are now in excellent operating condition. A copy of the manual is available if you bring a USB drive.
Service Work - Crossovers were checked, tested, and found to be operational. All caps in the crossovers are well within defined specifications (+- 10%), as checked with Huntron and ESR Testing. Dust caps and surrounds are in excellent condition. Tweeter is mint and unblemished. The main grills of both speakers have been replaced, the upper cloth is very presentable. Overall condition is very good as most 5000A speakers are usually missing some or all of the grills. Please see all photos.
