Vintage Panasonic RS820 8 Track AM/FM Stereo Receiver with two Panasonic Speakers - Set your time machine dial to 1970 with this twin VU meter 8 Track Recorder/Player, a vintage slice of musical history. This machine was one of the first to hit the market offering both record and playback functionality. The Panasonic marketing folks messaging; "own your own 8-Track cartridge factory" - even when so far as to say "a whole new world of fun and profit awaits you". A copy of this brochure is included!

The sale includes two Panasonic aluminum trimmed matching (see photos) plug in speakers. Unit was serviced by DALAUDIO. All the sliders, switches and selectors were cleaned and lubricated, bulbs were checked, those that were out were replaced. The unit will playback and record 8 track tapes, bring one or listen to our John Denver Test 8 track tape. The AM, FM and FM stereo, works great, and will pull in station in stereo without an external antenna! The Aux input was tested with a blue tooth device. The phono input is set up for standard MM Phono Cartridge's. If you need a turntable let us know we have several from about $80-100. We are happy to demo, to show you it works. We played 2 8 track tapes through twice on all 4 tracks. Speakers both work as they should. This is a vintage item so there are no warranties of any kind. Great for a garage or small shop etc.

Note: The VU meters are utilized for setting the recording level on 8 track tapes only.
