This is a DeArmond Model 1604 volume pedal with a built in battery powered pre-amp. It’s in perfect working condition. It only has only very slight signs of cosmetic wear. This pedal is very sturdy and it’s built like a tank. This is an active volume pedal that functions as a gain boost/preamp as well as a volume pedal. It has a knob on the front right side so you can use your right foot to crank up the preamp. Use the pedal to get a clean volume. Then get more volume by adding some clean sustain with the boost knob then add some more distortion with the boost knob cranked up. I researched the internet and could not find any other volume pedal with a preamp which is what makes this volume pedal so special. It has a new 9 volt battery. This pedal will help to get really good sustain.
