This Squier Cyclone has Seymour Duncan SLS-1 hand-ground Alnico 5 rod magnet lipstick pickups. Also, the tremolo is replaced with a Wilkinson trem, because the stock tremolos on the Ivory White Paranormal Cyclones, which was the first color to be issued, are known to have defective tremolos that don't stay in tune and that also have string holes too small, causing the ball ends of the strings to get stuck. This high quality Wilkinson tremolo was a drop in replacement that required no drilling. It works very well and it stays in tune. It also stays in tune due to the upgraded Kluson tuners that were installed at the same time that the Wilkinson tremolo was installed.
So, the upgraded mods are: Seymour Duncan SLS-1 hand-ground Alnico 5 lipstick pickups; Wilkinson 52.mm tremolo; Kluson K Plus tuners.
The 5.1K lipstick pickups in the lightweight Mustang body have a rich and clear twang that fits any genre. The lipsticks also give the guitar a very cool look. The 24.75" scale neck is very comfortable. Notice the beautiful grain and figuring in the neck and fingerboard. The neck has no fret wear, because I only played this at several gigs for less than a year. For all other practicing/playing I use a short-scale Strat.
The switches and pots all work fine. Using the 3 switches for different pickup configurations, along with the Seymour Duncan lipstick pickups, can get many unique sounds. The action is low, it stays in tune, and it only weighs 7.5lbs, which is rare. So, it resonates quite well. There are no dings or marks of any kind. It's a great guitar in like new condition.
My price is much less than what I have in it. I'm only selling it, because I don't play very much anymore.
I'm not interested in any trades; however, I'll consider reasonable offers. Thanks for looking. I'm willing to meet.
